Caudalie Beauty Elixr

Hello everyone!

I haven't been able to blog in a while because my internet messed up and I have been getting ready for my holiday (eeek!)
I wrote a small review on the Caudalie Beauty Elixr as it was part of an amazing set and you can read about that here

I found that the small bottle that I received in my set (30ml) ran out quite quickly - I did use it daily though. This bottle is 100ml and it costs £32 which is quite expensive but I thought it was worth it as otherwise I would of bought the cheaper one but it would of probably ran out again. I think that the main negative on this product is the fact that it is very expensive and does run out fast, however I am trying not to use it everyday. I put it on my bare face before my makeup and then spray it on again after I have finished. I like how it comes out as a light spray rather than a sort of thick spray because it is much more pleasant than  having loads of water on your face at one time. I also find that it gives my face a lovely glow to it and I ofen don't highlight that much because of this. It also has a nice scent to it, at first I wasn't very keen but now I am as I have gotten use to it! All together it does exactly what it says and makes my face feel very moistured and I also feel that when my face looks dull, it perks it up a lot!

Benefit Hello Flawless Powder

Hello everyone!

I have wrote a small review of this product here as I reviewed the 'How To Look The Best At Everything' Set which included this powder. I decided that I would write a more in-depth review of the powder as I did decide to buy it again so I thought I would share my reasoning with you.

I purchased myself the full sized version of the powder (even though I still have a tiny little bit of the other one in the set left!) because I really have been loving the way that it makes my skin look. I bought it from Debenhams at the Benefit counter, you can also get it from Boots, House of Fraser and online (and I am sure there are other places that I haven't yet come across) It cost £25.50 and the total amount of product that you get is 7g.

I got it in the colour 'Champagne (Me, Vain?)' which is around the 3rd lightest. I do really love how silky smooth the powder is and the fact that it doesn't look drying or cakey on the face. I also love how it is a very good coverage powder and really adds on top of the foundation to give me the finished look that I desire (its great for someone like me who doesn't have the clearest skin in the world!) It is quite pricey for a powder but at the same time it is very worth it and I will be repurchasing again once it has ran out! It does last me nearly all day once I apply it to my face and it has an SPF of 15. The only negative that I would say about this powder is that it does hit the pan very quickly so I do try to limit how much I use at one time. I must admit that in the other set review, I said it had lasted a long while, but looking back I realise that is only because I was VERY sparing with it.

bareMinerals Queen Tiffany Eyeshadow

Hello all!

So I purchased myself a bareMinerals eyeshadow in the colour 'Queen Tiffany' as I thought it was such a lovely colour that I would use quite often.

There is 57g of the product and it cost me £14. I purchased it directly from the bareMinerals counter in Debenhams but you can purchase them from other places including - the direct website and Feel Unique. (there are others).

It is a loose eyeshadow and it is very pigmented so it will last a very long time! The only struggle that I have with loose eyeshadows is that they create fallout but it doesn't stop me wearing it as I sort it out pretty quickly. I love the colour as it is a shimmery brown which is quite deep but not too dark. It also looks lovely in the crease with a lighter shade.

Tropical Peel Off Montagne Jeunesse Mask

Hello everyone!

I absolutely LOVE face masks, but my favorite ones are peel off masks as I sometimes feel quite uncomfortable with a mud mask or one that dries hard.

I just wanted to tell everyone reading this blog how great this face mask is and how good a value it is for your money! You can use it so many times and it doesn't run out very fast (I've already used it about 6 times and have loads left) and unlike individual masks you can use as little or as much as you would like (I always find that I have LOADS left over from an individual mask) I got mine from Boots I believe and it cost me £5.

Mac Pink Plaid Lipstick

Hello everyone!

A short while ago I did a blog post on another Mac Lipstick in the colour Syrup (you can view it here). I never really get the chance to go into any Mac stores or see any counters because there are none where I live, so whenever I go shopping in any other town I spend ages looking at there products seeing if there is anything I would like to purchase (basically everything)

The packaging is exactly the same as my Syrup Lipstick in the usual bullet shape. I do find that it makes it a lot easier to use and to locate when its in my handbag which is always handy.

I got the colour Pink Plaid and it is a matte lipstick so it is a different finish to the Syrup Lipstick. I do find that I don't get on as well with matte products as others as sometimes I feel that my lips feel dry and I really don't like that, however I will buy matte products (I have quite a few now) if I think that they look nice and are a nice colour.

I have used this a few times already so this isn't exactly how it comes as it probably has less product. It is £14 like most other of the Lipsticks and has the usual 3g. I have found that these Lipsticks last such a long while and are very pigmented, HOWEVER, I do find that they don't last as long as I would like and they come off so easily, so I am thinking of buying a lip primer to keep it on longer. I liked this colour as it is a deep but light pink and has a lovely colour to it and adds such a nice colour to the lips. It dries matte quite quickly so you can really see how it is going to look during the day.

Here is the colour in natural light. I find that it gives such a healthy look to the lips and I really enjoy wearing it - although I tend to go for deeper colours like Syrup but I am starting to change that.

Dior Addict Lip Glow

Hello everybody!

A few weeks ago I was browsing the Dior counter in Boots when the lady started talking to me about all kinds of products that they sell. She briefly went over the 'Dior Addict Lip Glow' which didn't grab my attention until she tried it out and put it on me (I then loved how it looked)

The Lip Glow is £22.50 which is quite pricey as it is basically a lip balm but I do find that it really works and makes my lips look so much better when they look dull. If you aren't sure on the product then you can always go to a Dior counter and ask for it to be tried out on you.

The colour that the product shows off is basically an enhanced colour of your own lips so it may look slightly different on others (probably not a lot in it though). For me, it gives my lips a healthier look to them and they look more plump and shiny which I like. It does give a tiny bit of colour but not too much, I would say it is just a light pink. I also love this product because it doesn't make my lips look of feel dry and is very moisturising without feeling oily.

Overall, I do like this product and I am glad that I bought it as it is great for on the go use when you feel that your lips look lifeless and colourless. However, I am sure that there are other products much like this one but cheaper.

Chanel Joues Contraste Blush in Espiegle

Hello everyone!

Around Febuary I bought myself a Chanel Blush from one of the Debenhams stores as I thought it was so beautiful!

The actual packaging that the product comes in is very sturdy and doesn't break if dropped (which is good as it is so expensive) it is also very plain but looks very elegant and I love the design of it!

I got the colour in Espiegle because it looked like such a gorgeous peachy pink. It cost £31 and you get 4g of the product. I am not sure as to weather they still sell this certain colour as it is no longer listed on the actual website - but they do have some other gorgeous colours. I have had this for about 4 months and it still looks pretty new, the reason behind this is because I hardly ever wear it as it is not pigmented at all! I am disappointed at this factor as it looked so lovely in the shop, but it takes me so many attempts to actually finally get the colour of the blush to come out on my cheek and I was disappointed because of the price of it. I do still try to wear it occasionally but it just takes a lot longer to apply than any of my other blushes.

The colour is so gorgeous as you can see and has a lovely glow to it, but as I said - It is not pigmented at all and it took me about 6 finger swirls to get this much colour onto my hand. It could just be this certain colour that isn't pigmented and I would like to hope so as some of the other colours are so gorgeous and I would love to try them, but if they are like this one, then I doubt I will.

Nip + Fab Shine Fix

Hello everyone!

I was browsing the Debenhams store when I noticed a stand which had quite a few Nip + Fab products. The product that caught my eye was the Shine Fix as I do have quite oily skin and I am always looking for something to help it and mattify it.

I got the product for £9.95 and was super excited to try it out. You get 15ml and it does spread quite a lot way so you don't need to put too much on. I usually put it on my T-Zone because that is where I get oily the most.

The colour of the gel is a cream colour and I love the smell of it as it is quite leafy! I am not completely happy with this product because the day after I first used it, I had a breakout of spots, however, I have used it a few other times and haven't noticed as much of a breakout so I am not sure weather that is because of the product, so beware! I have found when using it that my skin does look less oily during the day so it does help, however it doesn't help as much as I would like as I still do get oily.
Has anybody else tried this?

17 Photo Flawless Primer

Hello everyone!

I have been using the 17 Photo Flawless Primer for quite a while now and thought I would share my thoughts about it with you.

I got it around Christmas time when I was spending the last of my money and I was in a rush (I totally forgot I picked it up until I got home - glad I did though) It cost me £4.99 and you get 15ml. It does last such a long while though as you don't need very much of it as it spreads a long way - it is also very smooth and silky like the Benefit Porefessional.

It has a very strange gel like consistency and is a creamy sort of colour - but don't worry, it doesn't change the colour of the skin. It is so easy to apply and keeps my foundation on for a much longer period of time. It also minimises my pores to some extent which I like as well.
