Soap and Glory A Great Kisser

Hello everyone!

I LOVE the smell and taste of peaches, so when I was browsing around in boots to see Soap and Glory's A Great Kisser Lip Balm, I had to get it! (of course, its peach flavor)

I am a sucker for Soap an Glory products as I have never really had any problems with them and they all seem to be very lovely, and its very rare to get a peach flavored item, so it was perfect! It says that it is a lip moisture balm and I feel that it does do the job of being moisturizing.

It can be quite sticky though, but I don't mind that too much, as the rest of the product is fab! It is very creamy and applies easily and doesn't have much colour to it when on the lips.

You get 18g of the product which is a lot for a lip butter I think! It also costs only £5 from Boots. It is a great deal and you should definitely check it out. Also the smell of the peach is lovely and I love applying it (sometimes just for the smell!)

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder Review

Hello everyone!
I have been using the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder for about 2 months now so I thought I would write about my thoughts on it.

I had heard quite a lot about how good this powder was so decided to give it a try when I saw it in Superdrug. It cost me £3.99 which I thought was extremely good for a powder and definitely good value! It is probably the best drugstore powder I have EVER used in my life and I will probably buy this again and again and again! The powder is a pressed powder, which I find is much easier to use as it doesn't go everywhere, although I do still use some loose powders.

I got the colour Transparent, there are also a few more colors including Silky Beige, Peach Glow and Sandstorm (I think there is a couple more). The reason I love this powder so much is because it does exactly what it says and more! It keeps the face looking matte, it keeps oil away and I also feel that it makes my face have more of a glow. I also feel as if I don't have to powder my face during the day anymore as I have no shine.

For a powder at this price, I would highly recommend it, even if it doesn't work for you very well, it hasn't broken the bank!

Sleek Blush By 3 In Lace Review

Hello!

After having the Sleek Pomegranate Blusher for a while, I decided to try something else from them. I have been wanting a Blush By 3 Blusher palette for a while so decided to try one of those. I went for the 'Lace' Palette - they also do it in Pumpkin, Sugar, Flame and Pink Sprint, so there is quite a large variety.

The palettes are quite large but that is expected as they contain 3 blushers. The packaging looks like all the rest of the blushers so there is nothing different there.

There is 20g of the product which is quite a lot, the 3 blushers should last a long while (especially as there are 3) As I said, I got the palette in Lace, which comes with the colors Crochet, Guipure and Chantilly. It has been said that Guipure is very similar to Nars Orgasm blush. The palette is £9.99 and I bought mine from Superdrug.

All the colors are extremely gorgeous and pigmented! I chose this palette because I felt that the colors in it were colors that I would wear more than in the other palettes, although there were only 3 of the palettes when I bought mine. The one on the left (Crochet) is a very orange colored blush (more orange than in the picture) and I thought that I would wear it the least, but I actually really love it and think it is a very lovely colour on and off the skin. The middle blusher (Guipure) is quite shimmery unlike the rest which are quite matte but it doesn't show up much on the skin which is good for me as I don't like extremely shimmery blushers, it is also the lightest out of all of them. The one on the right (Chantilly) is a very vibrant pink and the colour is still very vibrant on the skin, you definitely don't need a lot with this as a little goes a long way. I probably use Chantilly the least.

You can see that the colors are very pigmented as I used the tiniest amount on my finger and they came out like this. All the blushers are very pigmented and you don't need a lot at all on your cheeks as a lot comes out, I have made the mistake of putting too much on and having to spend ages blending it in (don't make the same mistake!) When these start to run out I will definitely buy another palette as they are such good value and truly amazing!

Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Body Milk

Hello everyone!

I have been loving the Smoothie Star Body Milk by Soap and Glory recently so I thought that I would share my findings with all of you!

The bottle is quite large and contains 500ml of product - it costs £10 and I bought mine from boots.  The thing I love about this product is that it has a pump - so it is a lot easier to get product out of it. It is quite thick and spreads very far so you don't need a lot for your whole body which means it'll last a long time (variant upon how often you use it) I also love the way Soap and Glory design their product as they are always interesting to read and very creative!

It says that the main ingredients are Almonds, Oats, and Brown Sugar - but also says underneath it 'Almonds, Cocoa, Yogurt, Oat & Honey'. I like the smell of it, it smells quite strong and I can't quite put my finger on what it actually is making it smell the way it does, as it is a peculiar smell. It is also very moisturizing and soaks into the skin quickly without leaving it sticky.

You can see that it is quite thick which is good, I was surprised that it wasn't sticky as it felt like it might of been so this product was a winner for me! (I hate stickiness) I love this moisturizer and wan't to try out the Body Buttercream in the same range. I would say the only problem (not much of a problem) is that sometimes if I pump out the product and some gets left in the pump at the top then the next time I use it, that little bit goes quite hard when it comes out and isn't very nice, but its easy to remove it and doesn't cause to much problem.
Has anybody else tried this product?

MAC Studio Fix Fluid

Hey everybody!

I have been loving the Mac Studio Fix Fluid so I thought that I would do a review for you all! I don't have a Mac near me, so when I went to William & Griffin and saw that they had a Mac counter I had to get something! I got the foundation for my birthday but chose it myself.

This is the box that the foundation comes in when you buy it. Its quite plan with just the writing on it. It has an SPF of 15 and you get 30ml of foundation, much like the Estee Lauder Double Wear

I opted for the colour NW15 which is on the lighter shade of the spectrum of there foundations. They have 2 different types of foundation colors - NC and NW. The NC is for yellow undertoned skin and the NW is for pink undertoned skin. The foundation is a perfect shade for me and I always blend it into my neck just in case. I would recommend getting colour matched for these foundations as you don't want to spend a lot of money on a foundation for it to be the wrong colour, but always make sure to tell the sales assistant if you feel it is too dark/light (I never use to say anything as I felt bad, but now I always tell them as I want the perfect shade - remember its there job to help you!) I know my colour now so usually don't need to get colour matched, but will do if I can't decide between a 2 or 3 colors that are quite similar.

The foundation has a screw top lid, much like the Estee Lauder Double Wear - sometimes its okay but sometimes its hard when you pour too much out. The foundation costs £20.50 alone and £24 if you want to buy a pump to go with it. The pump costs £3.50. I decided to buy a pump as I prefer to use a pump for foundation because I think its easier to control the amount you use and when you pour it, a lot more than what you want can come out. You can actually use the pump for other foundations (it only works in certain ones) the only one I know of is that you can put it in the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation - although I haven't yet tried it but will do soon.

The pump has a little cap which is good as it means you can make sure none comes out unexpected and especially when its in your makeup bag nothing presses on it to squeeze it out which is good as in the past I have had product everywhere because of that (not good)

The foundation covers up the face very well and leaves it looking flawless and covers any blemishes, redness and spots. It also drys matte. It also lasts all day and I put it on at around 7.30am and take it off at 7pm (ish) It usually doesn't go shiny, however I do wear a setting spray usually. It also doesn't come off easily on clothes, phones ect which is perfect as I take a few phone calls during the day. I have been getting on very well with this foundation and it hasn't broken me out, gone blotchy or anything like that and has kept my skin looking flawless all day. It is very easy to apply and isn't too thick or too runny (somewhere in the middle) When this foundation runs out I will definitely repurchase it again as it is an excellent foundation that works perfectly for me.

Duwop Blue Lip Venom

Hello everyone!

I received this Duwop Lip Venom for Christmas (it was very exciting as I had wanted one for ages!) and I thought that as I had been using it a while now that I would do a review.
I got the 'Blue' Venom. You can also get the Original, Flash, 2nd Sin, Moon, Pink Shimmer, Twilight, and they do a trio of the Original and the Flash. Mine came from Feel Unique and cost £15 - they all cost this much, however Feel Unique doesn't have all of them on there website which  is a pain! You can also get them from other places though.

It comes in a little tube tin like this one and it quite small, although it doesn't look that small on here. It is probably a little bit taller than one of my fingers and quite a thin tube tin (I don't know what else to call it other than a tube tin!) You get 3.5ml in this product, I thought that because it was quite small it would run out quickly, but it doesn't at all! To get the actual product out, you just pull the tin and out it comes.

Here is the Venom out of the tube. It looks quite dark in colour, but for some reason it isn't that dark in person (im not sure why my camera made it so dark) It is just a plain little tube that says 'Blue Venom' on it. All of the Venom's are suppose to do something different, this one says that it is meant to plump (they all do) and make the teeth look whiter as it has blue tint to it. It does make the teeth appear to be slightly brighter so I am glad that it does what it says, it also smells quite nice which is always good - it smells like cinnamon!

The venom doesn't sting really painfully which I like as I have had a couple from other brands before which have really stung so much that I have had to remove them. It gives the lips more of a tingle than a sting. I do feel that it plumps the lips well and isn't too sticky as sticky products really get on my nerves haha! The product stays on the lips for quite a while without coming off which is also a bonus as I hate when you apply a lip product and half an hour later its gone! I think this product works really well on the lips and does all that it says it will do. It comes with a brush applicator and you can brush it on like that, I also find that it looks nice over the top of some other lip products and works well with them as well as on bare lips. It has shine to it so the lips don't look dull which is another good thing.

On my hand you can clearly see that the Lip Venom has blue shimmer in it, obviously it will look different in different lighting as the shimmer may reflect off the lights more or less - depending where you are. I am really hoping to try and get a few more of these to try as I have loved this one so far. It works brilliantly and especially does plump the lips.
Has anybody else tried any lip plumper's?

Balmi Lip Balm #2

Hello everyone!

I decided to get myself another Balmi as I absolutely love them and wanted to try another flavor. I went to pick one up, only to notice they have changed the shape of them!!

I chose the Raspberry flavor because it was one that I have been wanting for a while as I like the smell of raspberry and thought that it would be very lovely (which it is) The Balmi's haven't changed in price since being a different style and are still £4.99 (where you get it from varies, I got mine from Boots) I don't understand why they have changed, and I personally prefer the round ones and think they are better and easier to use, but it doesn't effect the product in anyway and is just my opinion. The raspberry flavor lived up to my expectations and works just as well as the other Balmi before it changed.

You actually get less product with the square shaped Balmi's as with the circle Balmi's there was 10.5g of product, whereas this one only has 7g. You also aren't able to pull the back off to get more product out which is annoying because it means as soon as it runs out then you can't really use it much longer as it is harder to get to. I love the scent to this Balmi and think it is a lot better than other artificial raspberry smells as it smells and tastes more like a raspberry than other products do which I love. It it also lovely and creamy without being too thick and very easy to hold as well. I like Balmi's because they are fast drying and don't make the lips feel sticky in anyway, they also leave a lovely glossy look to the lips.

This Balmi has a pointy tip to it which can make it quite easy to apply to the lips as its easier to get into corners than the circle shaped one. In the shops they have stopped selling the round one (from what I saw) but online it says you can still get them (Boots website) it may change soon though as they may be trying to get rid of the old packaging to bring out this one fully. I love how bold the packaging is so whenever I look in my makeup bag I know its my Balmi as it stands out, it also has an attachment like the other one so you can keep it on your keys and not loose it. In all, I really like this Balmi and think it is a lovely smell, taste and still an amazing product for the lips, leaving them moisturized, soft and smooth. I still want to try the other 2 flavours as so far I seem to love the ones I already have! For a review on the Strawberry one click here!

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer

Hello all!

I recently purchased one of the Apocalips Lip Lacquer from Rimmel as I have wanted one for quite a while but whenever I went into anywhere that sold them, they seemed to have only opened ones!
When I saw one that wasn't open, I grabbed the chance and bought it, it is in the colour 'Celestial'

I love the packaging for these products (Although some people say they don't , why?!) and think they all look lovely. I also love how you can see what each colour looks like at the bottom of the tube so you know exactly what to expect. You can buy these from basically anywhere that sells Rimmel, I've seen them in Boots, Superdrug, Super markets, Pharmacies, everywhere really!

The applicator has a little pocket which collects more product so you don't have to dip it in as much as you would with other lip products. It is also very tall (I know it sounds weird, why am I talking about the length of it?!) BUT a good thing about it being tall is that it is easier to hold. The top is quite funky as well and has little cut outs in the plastic to make it jaggerdy.

As I said, I got the colour Celestial. This was the colour I originally wanted as I felt that it would suit me best and using it, I think that it does really suit me. The product lasts on the lips for a very long while and even when you feel as if it isn't there anymore - the colour still is! (they last hours)  And they are very silky and smooth which I like as sometimes I feel that dry lip product irritate me, they do dry quite matte tho but they don't feel as drying as some other products do which I like.

They are all very pigmented which is good as it means you don't need as much on. You get 5ml of product but I am sure it'll last quite a while as you don't need much at all. They also cost £4.99 from Boots, but I know that it varies as in Superdrug they are £5.99. I definitely want to try the other colors in the range and hope to soon - hopefully they will be just as gorgeous as this one!

Balmi Lip Balm

Hello everyone!

After seeing so many people talking about the Balmi Lip Balms, a couple of months ago I decided to go and buy one for myself! They are £4.99 each and the only place I have seen them being sold is Boots, however they may be sold elsewhere (does anyone know?)

I have the Strawberry Balmi : you can also get Mint, Coconut and Raspberry. I absolutely love the Strawberry flavor and think that it smells exactly like Strawberry Calpol!  Firstly I love the packaging for the Balmi's and think they are incredibly cute and fun! I also like how each flavor has its own colour so you know what you are getting. The Balmi has a little attachment on it so you can put it on your keys or anything really which is good as it means its harder to loose (I find I am always loosing lip balms?!)

There is 10.5g of the Balmi which lasts quite a while (depending on how much you use it) I have used mine most days since purchasing it and so far it is still pretty full. I find that putting it on just before I go to bed really helps my lips to feel smooth in the morning. When applying it in the morning I usually use my Popcorn Lip Scrub before putting it on and it helps to keep my lips moisturized throughout the day. It also has an SPF of 15 to help protect your lips.

The shape of the Balmi when it is opened is a circle which I love and is so easy to apply to the lips as it glides on and is especially easy to get into corners. It is also the perfect shape for the lips. When I first got it, I thought that it would go everywhere, but it doesn't! When you have used this product for quite a while, the shape does obviously change and becomes flatter and wider.

So far this lip balm has been amazing for my lips. It is quick drying but still leaves the lips silky soft and the smell and flavor really sticks around! I also find that my lips have been a lot less dry recently which is wonderful. They also don't get dry throughout the day which I love. I keep this lip balm in my bag to take round with me in case I feel my lips are looking and feeling dull and it really does help with both those things. I would definitely recommend this lip balm!

Lastly, the lip balm has an opening at the bottom which means you can get a lot more product out when it is coming to an end which I think is a great idea! All you have to do is pull the little attachment and it comes off, the good thing is that it is very strong so it doesn't fall off at all and you have to pull quite hard to get it out. I definitely want to try the other flavors of these Balmi's and will do soon hopefully. They are great for keeping the lips soft and soothed and I would repurchase any day!

No7 Soft & Soothed Gentle Cleanser

Hello everyone!

I have quite a few cleansers that I use and I decided that the first one I was going to talk about was the No7 Soft & Soothed Gentle Cleanser.

I bought this in January from Boots and it cost £8. They also have a toner in this range as well. I love how No7 have a range of different skin care products for all different types of skin. The packaging for this is a lovely baby pink and the product is also a baby pink colour which makes it extremely lovely!

There is 200g of product and when I use it I will use maximum of 2 squirts so it will last a long time. The cleanser says that it cleans, comforts and hydrates. It definitely cleans my face and is great for getting of makeup. I don't feel that it hydrates my skin as much as other products do, but if my skin feels dull, it does make it look and feel better, but I wouldn't say that its a miracle (it may be on others, but not me)

It is fragrance free which some people do prefer. It has a very clean smell to it, I can't think what it may be, but if I had to describe it in one word, I would use the word 'Lotion'. I have been using this product mainly in the evenings to get off my makeup, sometimes I will use it in the mornings as well. It isn't oily which I like and also doesn't leave my face feeling oily.

I would use about this much at one time for my whole face. I usually rub it into my hands and rub it onto my face, then remove it with a cloth (in particular one of the Liz Earle Muslin Cloths) I do like this product but it isn't my top cleanser as I do prefer others and feel that others have helped my face a lot more in terms of making it look radiant, feel soft, get rid of blemishes ect.

Caudalie Organic Grape Water

Hello everyone!

A few weeks ago I purchased the Caudalie Organic Grape Water spray. I got it from William & Griffin and it was only £10 which I thought was very good. The spray says that it is 100% Grape Water that is extracted from the grapes during grape harvest. It doesn't have much of a noticeable smell to me and also has no colour. The top of it is a aerosol spray can so it is very easy to spray on the face and comes out as a mist. When it is on the face you will not need to pat it on as it drys quite quickly and smoothly. I have been loving this product as it makes my face feel refreshed. I put it on after my makeup and it does hold my makeup in place all day and keeps it looking moisturized which I love.

The 200ml spray cost £10 and the 75ml spray costs £6 so there isn't much more in it. I would probably get the 200ml spray as you get a lot more for only £4 extra. If you wanted to take it around with you and keep it in your handbag during the day to refresh yourself then the smaller one would be perfect as the large one is huge! It lasts a very long while as you don't need to spray much on your face as a lot comes out at once. Has anybody else tried this product or any of the Caudalie products?

Benefit b.right Radiant Skincare Set

Hello everyone!

I love trying out different skin care products and I have always wanted to try everything from the Benefit skincare range. At Christmas time I asked for the Benefit b.right Radiant Skincare Set as I wanted to try everything out to see if it worked for me, as there is no point spending lots of money on a product if it will react badly to your skin (although sometimes I take the risk) This set is £10 and you get 6 products : Foamingly Clean Facial Wash, Refined Finish Facial Polish, Triple Performing Facial Emulsion, Moisture Prep Toning Lotion, Total Moisture Facial Cream and the Its Potent Eye Cream.

The set came in a little plastic case which I was glad about as it meant I can keep all the products together and as they are small it means that I will be less likely to loose them. All of the products (except the Foamingly Clean Face Wash and Refined Finish Facial Polish) Came in glass jars which was a nice surprise as they hadn't been swapped for plastic. Although, if you do drop them, it can lead to them breaking (the glass may be pretty strong though, mine haven't broken yet and I am sure to of dropped them)

I thought that I would start with the Foamingly Clean Face Wash. I like how it lathers up and feel very silky smooth on the face. You get 8.9g of the product which is quite good. It may not last a long time for people who use it daily, but as I don't use it daily it has lasted a while and still has a few more uses. It does spread a long way so you definitely don't need to much of the product at one time which is good. It is also quite thick and leaves the skin feeling very soft. All of the products smell the same so I won't keep mentioning the smell on every product, but the smell is very fresh and doesn't really have a certain smell added to it. It is £17.50 as full price and you can get it anywhere that sells Benefit products. To me, it hasn't done any magical wonders on my skin unlike some other face products I have, but it is good as just a general face wash in the evening.

The next product is the Refined Finish Facial Polish. It is £18.50 for a full sized bottle. Again, this product is 8.9g and as I said before, smells exactly the same. The exfoliating balls themselves are very small which I prefer as I feel they are less harsh on the skin. It is quite a creamy exfoliator and on the back of the bottle it says 'Smoothest Surface Facial Exfoliator', I do agree that it makes the face very soft which I like. The product is just plain white and nothing else. I do feel that exfoliators cheaper than this can still do the same job and have done for me, but it is still a lovely product.

The next one is the Triple Performing Facial Emulsion. I wasn't really sure what this was for, but thankfully the set comes with a little leaflet. It says that it 'hydrates, protects and comforts the skin with an oil-free lightweight formula' it also says that it gives immediate and long term hydration to the skin. I have found with this product that you need hardly any thing to cover your face as it spreads a very long way (most of these products do!). I have no idea how much is in this product as I the label on the bottom is so small that I can't read what it says, but it has lasted me a very long while and I use it quite a lot. For a full sized bottle it would cost £20.50 and I would definitely buy this product full sized as I love how soft, smooth and hydrated my skin feels afterwards.

Next is the Moisture Prep Toning Lotion. This is much more wetter than any other products in the set and is very liquid based, but at the same time it isn't like a water, but more of a gel (like a shower gel) I have found that this product has less product in than any other, probably because its much harder to control than any of the other products and comes out quite quickly (so beware) The sticker on the bottom is much more easier to read which is strange as they are exactly the same bottle. It has 8.9mL (I would probably say that the Facial Emulsion has  the same as they all seem to be the same (don't hold me to it) ) Like the other products it keeps my skin smooth and feels very refreshing. It says in the leaflet that it creates a surface ready to absorb moisture, and also smooths, revitalizes and tones the skin. I think that the product does all that it says it can do and it works well for my skin and definitely does smooth, tone and revitalizes it. It costs £23.50 for a full sized bottle.

Next I have the Its Potent Eye Cream. It will cost you £24.50 for the full sized product. It says that it fades dark circles, I have never noticed on myself that I have dark circles and have never felt the need to use an eye cream, although that may change when time goes by. The colour is a strange yellow/white colour and you also do not need a lot to put on so it will definitely last you a long while, mine certainly has. At this moment in time, I probably wouldn't buy the full sized product as I have no problems with dark circles under my eye or anything else like that, but my view may change one day. It is a good eye cream but I can't give much opinion on it and haven't really noticed a difference in my eyes. There is 3g of the product.

The last product is the Total Moisture Facial Cream. I find that this is a very good moistureiser for me and is very thick which I like. Again, like I have said with other products, a little goes a long way which means that it lasts longer which I like. It definitely does hydrate my skin and leaves it feeling soft and smooth the next day which I like. The product is a total of 8.9g (surprise surprise) and I would recommend this as a moisturizer. It is £27.50 (the most expensive of them all) but when my pot runs out, I am definitely going to buy another as it works very well for me.

In conclusion (is this an essay?!) this set is a very good set for the price that it is and you definitely get your moneys worth. Some products I probably wouldn't buy full sized whereas some I would, so it is a good set to try out the products, especially if you are debating weather to get some or not. I am most likely to repurchase the Total Moisture Face Cream and the Triple Performing Facial Emulsion as I really liked them and they worked very well for me.
